About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant in the Med/Surg Department is a certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Shasta Regional Medical Center is a 226-bed acute care facility serving Northern California and offers a comprehensive range of services. The hospital is recognized for cardiovascular care, stroke, hip/knee and diabetes services, and patient safety. Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
- Current BLS upon hire and maintained throughout employment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office is preferred.
