Nursing Assistant 2F Step Down ICU PT Nights
About The Position
Seeking a Nursing Assistant for Baptist Health Floyd, 2F Step-Down ICU. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) with night shifts (7pm-7am) and is benefit eligible. The Nursing Assistant, under general supervision and according to established procedures, functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Step-Down ICU (2F) is a 16-bed intermediate level of care unit between the Inpatient Units and the Critical Care units. The unit specializes in septic and respiratory compromised patients (COPD, PNA, Respiratory Failure) but also cares for a variety of other diagnoses, such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis, and AMS. Nursing Assistants will provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. 2F is a great place for Nursing Assistants to cultivate and expand their skills. Due to the proximity and collaboration with the ICU, 2F is commonly utilized as a progressive steppingstone for Nursing Assistants to build a foundation of skills needed to be successful in the ICU.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience required
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required
