RN 2F Step Down ICU FT Days
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2F Step-Down ICU unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a full-time position (36 hours weekly) with day shifts (7am-7pm). The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet patient, family, and co-worker needs. The Step-Down ICU is a 16-bed intermediate care unit specializing in septic and respiratory compromised patients, but also manages diagnoses such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, and AMS. Nurses on this unit will cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing drips and specialized procedures. The unit is a steppingstone for RNs to build skills for the ICU and for LPNs to utilize their training in progressive acuity patients.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).

Responsibilities
