About The Position
The Nursing Assistant in the Behavioral Health Unit is an unlicensed, non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The role works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Saint Clare's Health is part of Prime Healthcare and serves communities in Morris, Warren, and Sussex counties through hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
Requirements
- Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
- Assist in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
