About The Position

The Nurse Aid in the MED / SURG / Telemetry Department is an unlicensed assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and assists in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Requirements

• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
