About The Position
Benedictine offers sponsored CNA-NAR training classes to help associates begin a long-term career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Training is provided at no cost, and trainees are paid while learning and earning certification. The Nursing Assistant Trainee attends required classes, completes training, and works with residents and the care team while developing the skills needed for the role.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in and attending a CNA-NAR training program, or hired into a Benedictine NA training program.
- Eligible to be on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity pending successful completion of training.
- Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- BLS Certification.
Responsibilities
- Attend all scheduled classes and successfully pass the state-required certification test.
- Collect initial and ongoing data on residents and report their condition and any changes to an RN or LPN.
- Communicate and interact with residents, families, and other health team members.
