Nursing Assistant Trainee
About The Position
Benedictine provides sponsored CNA-NAR training classes to help trainees pursue a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Training is provided at no cost, and trainees are paid while they train and earn certification. The role includes attending training, collecting and reporting resident information, and communicating with residents, families, and other health team members. Benedictine is a nonprofit senior care organization founded by the Sisters of St. Scholastica. Requirements
- Must currently be enrolled in and attending a CNA-NAR training program or be hired into a Benedictine NA training program.
- Must be eligible to be on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity pending successful completion of training.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- BLS Certification.
Responsibilities
- Attend all scheduled classes and successfully pass the state-required certification test.
- Collect initial and ongoing data on residents and report their condition and any changes to an RN or LPN.
- Communicate and interact with residents, families, and other health team members.
