Nursing Assistant (Trainee)
About The Position
Meadow View Nursing Center offers a three-week Nursing Assistant Training Program for people who want to begin a healthcare career and become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Trainees receive hands-on experience and practical training while working alongside licensed nurses and healthcare professionals to learn how to provide compassionate, attentive care to residents. The program includes training sessions and assigned coursework, and helps participants develop resident care, communication, documentation, infection control, organization, time-management, and safe resident-assistance skills. Starting pay is $17.20 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and other daily activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs.
- Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility and exercise routines.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures.
- Complete training sessions and assigned coursework.
