About The Position

The Nursing Assistant performs tasks delegated and indicated on the care plan for assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role requires understanding basic elements of body functioning and physical and emotional changes, including those that occur during the death and dying process. The Nursing Assistant provides age-appropriate care for patients’ physical and psychological needs, assists with daily living activities, and uses courteous, caring interpersonal skills. The position offers a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• Completion of a 75-hour nurse assistant course.
• Registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and registration with the applicable state's Department of Health.
• Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform detailed work correctly and function under and handle stress.
• Ability to work with the growth and development needs of all client and patient populations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and organizational policies and procedures.
• Good interpersonal skills; courteous and caring manner.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities
