Catholic Nursery Caregiver
About The Position
Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking a part-time Catholic Nursery Caregiver to assist with newborns through 2-year-olds in a classical and Catholic program for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position is 14 hours per week at our center near Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas. While a teaching certification or formal childcare experience is not required, as all necessary training will be provided, a love for working with children and a collaborative spirit with the lead teacher are essential. The ideal candidate will contribute to a safe and joyful environment for the children. RCA is a national organization offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. This is an hourly position with childcare/nursery provided. Please note that no additional vacation days are given, though accommodations are made for sick days as needed. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and classroom guidelines will be provided, and tutors will be trained in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards, utilizing principles inspired by St. John Bosco. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, good organization, punctuality, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received all appropriate sacraments. All staff are required to complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training before employment.
Requirements

- Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Must have good organization.
- Must be timely.
- Must have a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
- Must attend one mandatory training day on August 12, 13, or 14, 2026 (TBD) prior to working in the classroom (8am-5pm; no childcare provided, nursing babies always welcome).
- Must have a clear background check.
