About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time Nursery Caregiver to assist in a classical and Catholic Nursery room for 14 hours per week at our center in Lapeer, Michigan. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required, as all necessary training will be provided. The ideal candidate may have experience in homeschooling, working with homeschool children, parish ministry, teaching Religious Education or Catechism, teaching their own children, or teaching in a classical or private school, though these are not mandatory. Regina Caeli Academy is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Childcare/nursery is provided for students. Employees are expected to adhere to the provided vacation and Holy Days schedule, with accommodations made for sick days. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be provided, and tutors will receive training in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant should possess strong communication skills, good organization, punctuality, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received all appropriate sacraments.
