About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an RN or LPN to provide nursing care at its 100-bed residential facility in Prince Frederick, Maryland. The facility offers drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services in a structured medical environment. Nurses support clients throughout admission, treatment, and discharge and coordinate care with pharmacy, medical, clinical, and utilization review teams. The role also includes maintaining medical records and providing patient education in individual and group settings.
Requirements
- Current RN or LPN license to practice in the state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and efficient, with the ability to multitask.
- Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality medical care to each client throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
- Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain clear medication logs.
- Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, tracking, and reporting for each client.
- Provide patient education in individual and group settings.
