About The Position

Summer school nursing involves collecting information regarding students with health conditions and medications for each summer school program. This role requires contacting families, medical providers, and staff to ensure appropriate care plans are in place. The nurse will also be responsible for ensuring staff are delegated and comfortable with any required nursing procedures during school-sponsored programming, including field trips or off-site events. Additionally, the nurse will take calls for all summer school programs during normal operating hours. Training will be provided, but experience with school nursing is preferred. A valid RN license (DORA license in CO or multi-state compact) is required. The SSP license requirement is waived for summer school, but will be required if the nurse applies for a position in the Fall. Requirements

  • Must have RN license (DORA license in CO or multi-state compact).
  • Must have a valid Colorado Educator's License with appropriate endorsement.
