About The Position

Canfor is currently seeking Summer Students to join our team. We are looking for candidates who are interested in a growth opportunity in a production environment who will train in various areas of the mill site. This position involves manual labour and possible exposure to dusts and/or chemicals. Candidates must be full time students and enrolled in Post-Secondary Institution for September 2026.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
• Available to work shiftwork
• Completion of Grade 12/GED or a minimum of 2 years industrial work experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot
• Positive attitude and a self-starter
• Able to work in an environment that may include exposure to weather, dust, chemicals, moving mechanical parts, and noise.
• Must be a full-time student and enrolled in a Post-Secondary Institution for September 2026

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards are met by following Canfor safe work and lockout procedures
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in your work area and throughout the mill
• Train and develop skills in various areas of the mill site
• Develop strong working relationships with your peers and production team
