About The Position

The Nurse Unit Manager - Acute provides clinical and operational leadership across an acute care service at Wallaroo. The role leads delivery of safe, high-quality, person- and family-centred care, supports continuity of care and effective multidisciplinary teamwork, and contributes to staff performance and development. The role uses contemporary evidence to inform practice and contributes to quality improvement, education, research, and changes to models of care.

Requirements

Current or eligible registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current or eligible practicing certificate.
At least 3 years' post-registration nursing and/or midwifery experience.
Demonstrated management and leadership experience, including staff supervision and development.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and delivering person- and family-centred care.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and contribute to quality improvement.
Experience supervising students, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses and/or midwives.
Experience using Microsoft Office and other relevant computer systems.
