About The Position

Cherry Hospital is currently recruiting for a Nurse Supervisor I position to serve as Shift Manager. This role represents Nursing Leadership on evening shift, night shift, weekends and holidays, serving as a resource and contact point for all hospital teammates. Cherry Hospital is a State-of-the-Art Psychiatric hospital located in Goldsboro, North Carolina, serving the 38 most eastern counties of North Carolina. Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina
  • Two years of RN nursing experience
  • Must report or stay over during adverse weather events
  • Adhere to the facility's Vaccination Policy
  • Newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible for the Sign-on Bonus
  • Employee must not have held a position in the North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system, within the last 12 months to be eligible for the Sign-on Bonus
  • Employee must not have previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency to be eligible for the Sign-on Bonus
  • DHHS must not have paid any contract placement or recruitment fees to be eligible for the Sign-on Bonus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Shift Manager, representing Nursing Leadership on evening shift, night shift, weekends and holidays
  • Serve as a resource and contact point for all hospital teammates
  • Communicate with patients, families, providers, law enforcement and other agencies as needed regarding patient care, treatment, and services
  • Make rounds frequently on all units
  • Respond to all medical and behavioral emergencies
  • Support all nursing teammates to ensure compliance with hospital policy and procedures
  • Actively communicate and promote harmony among shift personnel, administration, and other departments/disciplines
  • Notify appropriate off-duty administrators as indicated
  • Actively participate in performance and conduct investigations as needed
  • Monitor regulatory and accreditation compliance and ensure that nursing care meets all pertinent regulations and standards
