Requirements
Graduate from accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program
Current license as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse licensed by the State of Missouri
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification (required in specialty areas)
Current BLS certification and required licenses
Nice To Haves
Three years experience as a family nurse practitioner preferred.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public
Responsibilities
Provides primary care to patients following established standards and practices in collaboration with providers.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment
Knowledge of medical terminology and examination, diagnostics and treatment room procedures
Ability to maintain quality control standards and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations
Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions
Ability to learn and efficiency utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs
