About The Position

Park City Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Same Day Surgery RN for its busy, high-performing orthopedic ambulatory surgery center in Park City. The role provides skilled nursing care throughout the pre-operative and post-anesthesia phases, working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, operating room staff, and leadership to support safe care, efficient patient flow, and a positive patient experience. Requirements

Current RN license in Utah, or ability to obtain one before starting.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
At least 2 years of RN experience.
Strong assessment, IV, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in same day surgery, PACU, pre-op, ICU, ED, or perioperative services.
Orthopedic experience.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients in pre-op and recovery.
Complete patient assessments, admissions, medication reconciliation, and pre-operative education.
Prepare patients for surgery, including starting IVs, reviewing charts, and confirming readiness for procedures.
Monitor and recover patients following anesthesia and surgery.
Provide discharge instructions and education to patients and families.
Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
Communicate effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, clinical staff, and leadership.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Support compliance with facility policies, patient safety practices, and regulatory standards.
Contribute to a positive, accountable, team-oriented work environment.
