About The Position

Providence Medical Center is seeking experienced nurse practitioners to join its daytime hospitalist team, providing care to patients in an inpatient setting. Candidates must have acute care training and at least two years of experience as a hospitalist provider or nurse practitioner working in an inpatient setting, and be comfortable working autonomously. The role provides general care to patients of all ages with patience, care, compassion, and understanding. Duties within the nurse practitioner's scope of practice may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians, promoting public awareness of health, and prescribing medications. This is a full-time day position with 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., caring for approximately 18 patients per shift. The nurse practitioner works with a collegial team in a teaching environment under a Collaborative Practice Agreement and uses EPIC EMR.

Requirements

MSN with specialization as an ARNP.
Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse; Acute Care training preferred.
BLS certification upon hire and maintained as current.
At least two years of experience as a nurse practitioner working in an inpatient setting, including experience as a hospitalist provider.
Previous experience with an electronic health record.
Active Missouri and Kansas licenses and DEA registration.
Comfort working autonomously.
