About The Position

CVS Health’s MinuteClinic is hiring a clinic-based Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate to provide high-quality primary and family care. The role focuses on in-person patient care, with virtual visits conducted from the clinic when onsite patient volume is lower and virtual care will not delay or interfere with in-person care. Providers have clinical team support, evidence-based resources, and autonomy to manage their practice. This is a full-time float role with every-other-weekend work. Charting and follow-up are completed during scheduled shifts.

Requirements

For Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
For Nurse Practitioners: Current national board certification through AANP or ANCC.
For Nurse Practitioners: Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner/APRN license in good standing.
For Physician Associates: Graduate of an ARC-PA-accredited physician assistant program.
For Physician Associates: Master’s degree in physician assistant studies or a related field for graduates of programs with post-2020 matriculation; a bachelor’s degree is acceptable for earlier graduates of accredited programs.
For Physician Associates: Current NCCPA certification and an active, unrestricted state PA license, or eligibility to obtain one upon hire.
Ability to obtain and maintain multi-state licensure, based on business needs.
Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices (NPs).
Ability to order and administer vaccines and injections, including COVID-19 and influenza vaccines, TB testing, and Depo-Provera (NPs).
Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.
Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching, and to perform Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

One year of Nurse Practitioner experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
Prior Physician Associate experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
Bilingual proficiency, depending on market needs.
Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation if provider experience is less than one year.
Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Provide in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient health outcomes.
Perform diagnostic testing, preventive counseling, treatment of injuries and illnesses, and coordination of care with other healthcare professionals.
Engage patients in wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings.
Complete clinic operations including inventory management, clinic opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection.
Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management.
