About The Position
This role involves conducting disability evaluations for veterans. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will examine veterans and meticulously record your findings on standard disability evaluation forms. Each examination is a one-time assessment, not a part of ongoing patient care. You will not be responsible for treating, prescribing, or managing these patients after their evaluation. The exams are scheduled during business hours, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A key requirement for this position is that you must have your own brick-and-mortar office within 50 miles of Silver City, NM, as veterans will come to your office for their exams. No clinic space will be provided by the hiring organization. This is ongoing per diem work.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state where you will work
- Board certification
- NPI number
- Current ACLS and BLS
- Active DEA
- Your own office within 50 miles of Silver City, NM
- CV in month and year format
