About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care at Townsend Recovery Detox and Drug Rehab Center, a residential facility offering medical stabilization and inpatient rehabilitation for people with drug and alcohol use disorders. The practitioner develops individual medical treatment plans, monitors clients’ health, manages medications, and provides care to stabilize patients and support their participation in treatment. The role also involves coordinating care with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams, maintaining complete documentation, and managing client appointments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a medical field and related certifications.
- Valid state medical license.
- Federal DEA certification.
- Acute observational and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and multitasking skills.
Nice To Haves
- 3–5 years of experience in a related clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Create individual medical care treatment plans and provide medical monitoring and medication management for clients throughout treatment.
- Provide quality medical care to stabilize patients and enable them to fully engage in treatment.
- Update pharmacy orders; create UDS, medication, and lab orders; and review and address UDS and lab results.
- Collaborate with extended medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
- Maintain thorough documentation of medical interventions, consultations, and directives.
- Complete daily and weekly client appointment schedules in a timely and efficient manner.
