About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care at Townsend Recovery Detox and Drug Rehab Center, a residential facility offering medical stabilization and inpatient rehabilitation for people with drug and alcohol addiction. The role involves developing individualized treatment plans, monitoring clients’ medical needs, and managing medications so they can stabilize and participate in treatment. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams and maintains timely, thorough documentation and appointment schedules.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a medical field and related certifications.
- Valid state medical license.
- Federal DEA certification.
- Acute observational and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and multitasking skills.
Nice To Haves
- 3–5 years of experience in a related clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Create individual medical care treatment plans and provide medical monitoring and medication management throughout each client’s treatment.
- Provide quality medical care to stabilize patients and help them fully engage in treatment.
- Update pharmacy orders; create UDS, medication, and laboratory orders; and review and address UDS and laboratory results.
- Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
- Maintain thorough documentation of medical interventions, consultations, and directives.
- Complete daily and weekly client appointment schedules in a timely and efficient manner.
