About The Position

Curana Health is hiring a part-time Nurse Practitioner for its National After-Hours Call Team, serving older adults in senior living communities and skilled nursing facilities. This work-from-home role provides virtual care, primarily by phone, to residents across multiple states during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The provider serves as a clinical resource for residents and facility staff, helping deliver timely care and avoid unnecessary transfers. The role requires managing high call volumes and multiple calls independently, and performing at least 30% telehealth visits. Care includes evaluation of acute changes, falls, and controlled substance visits, as well as acute, chronic, and behavioral health needs. Providers use Curana’s telephonic platform and electronic medical records, follow clinical protocols and practice guidelines, and collaborate with physicians and specialty providers. The position is scheduled for 24 hours per week. Coverage includes two six-hour weeknight shifts from 6 p.m. to midnight and every other weekend, with 12-hour day shifts on both Saturday and Sunday. Overnight and holiday coverage is required for all team members; part-time providers work two 12-hour holiday shifts per year. Holiday schedules are planned at the beginning of the year.
