About The Position
This is a per diem role for a Nurse Practitioner to conduct disability evaluations for veterans. The exams are one-time evaluations, not ongoing care, and the Nurse Practitioner will not treat, prescribe, or manage patients afterward. Exams are booked during business hours (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM). The role requires the Nurse Practitioner to have their own office within 30 miles of Gardnerville, NV, as veterans will come to their office for exams. No clinic space is provided.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state where you will work
- Board certification
- NPI number
- Current ACLS and BLS
- Active DEA
- Own office within 30 miles of Gardnerville, NV
- CV in month and year format
- Live within daily commute range of Gardnerville, NV
Responsibilities
- Examine veterans and record findings on standard disability evaluation forms.
- Conduct one-time evaluations, not ongoing care.
- Complete online training and virtual pre-exam orientation.
