About The Position

Nurse Practitioners assess patient needs, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose disease, and formulate and prescribe treatment plans. Their training covers basic disease prevention, coordination of care, and health promotion, but does not provide the depth of expertise needed to recognize more complex conditions. Experience is preferred. This is a full-time position with medical, dental, and vision insurance, short- and long-term disability, and a 401A plan.

Requirements

Must hold a current license with the Mississippi State Board of Nursing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
Master's degree in Nursing.
Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Prescribe medication, examine patients, diagnose illnesses, and provide treatment.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
Gather health histories, perform physical examinations, and conduct diagnostic procedures.
Develop and implement treatment plans.
Dictate and document all patient interactions.
Notify the managing physician about unusual or unexpected events or problems.
Communicate effectively with diverse populations, including physicians, employees, patients, and families.
