Full-Time Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care

About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner will work independently while participating in a larger care team at a Veterans’ Administration community-based outpatient clinic in Helena, Arkansas. The role provides standard primary care to patients in a comfortable outpatient setting, with dedicated clinical assistants supporting the work. Providers see an average of 10 to 12 patients per day. The practice uses an EHR.

Requirements

• Active Arkansas nurse practitioner license.
• Relevant board certification (FNP, AGNP, etc.).
• At least 2 years of outpatient primary care experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient histories.
• Conduct physical examinations.
• Evaluate patients.
• Diagnose and treat diseases.
• Manage chronic illnesses.
• Order laboratory, radiological, and other tests as needed.
• Provide preventive health services, including education and counseling.
• Make specialist referrals when appropriate.
• Collaborate with other clinicians and staff to ensure continuity of care.
