About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner will: Participate in the development and implementation of behavioral health interventions in a hospital setting to individuals and groups where applicable. Provide behavioral health consultation to all collaborating providers, including but not limited to primary care providers, emergency room providers, care coordinators, nursing staff, hospitalists and fellow behavioral health providers. Provide documentation and accurate information in the Electronic Medical Records system. Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary behavioral team, with set responsibilities. Participate in case reviews and clinical supervision.

Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in psychiatry from an accredited school of nursing
Two (2) years’ experience in a hospital or clinical setting
Vermont Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Psychiatry
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong critical thinking skills
Experience with electronic medical record systems.
