FT Nurse Practitioner | Urgent Care | Central Texas
About The Position
Freedom Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join its growing team in a full-time capacity. The role is outpatient-only, with no call requirements, and offers a flexible, shift-based schedule, typically consisting of 12-hour shifts. The minimum commitment is two shifts per month. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Locations are available in Harker Heights, Killeen, Belton, and Temple, Texas. The clinics have onsite lab, X-ray, and point-of-care testing, robust support staff, and use Epic EMR. The recruitment package includes base salary plus wRVU, paid malpractice coverage, and marketing and practice-growth assistance. Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute-care hospital in Harker Heights, Texas, opened in 2012. Its services include cardiology, emergency services and a Level IV Trauma Designated Emergency Room, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, total joint replacement, gastroenterology, and diagnostic services. The hospital describes its staff as providing care with dignity and respect and notes its Joint Commission accreditation, Accredited Chest Pain Center status, and Advanced Primary Stroke Center status. The role is in Central Texas, approximately 70 miles north of Austin, in a rapidly growing metropolitan area. The community offers housing, cost of living, and crime rates described as substantially lower than the national average; recreational opportunities around two large lakes; high-performing schools; and proximity to multiple universities and colleges.
