About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive patient care in an acute care setting. The provider will work collaboratively with attending physicians to assess patients, develop treatment plans, provide education, and ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License and Registration
• NP specialty certification consistent with area of practice
• Medicare NPI Number or eligibility to obtain one
• BLS/CPR Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal orientation and supervision
• Comprehensive Patient Assessment
• Acute Care Management
• Treatment Planning and Care Coordination
• Clinical Documentation
• Medication Management
• Patient and Family Education
• Prescriptive Authority Utilization
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration
• Critical Thinking and Clinical Decision-Making

Nice To Haves

• Oncology experience strongly preferred
• Prior inpatient experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health assessments and patient evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with attending physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Document subjective and objective findings, assessments, and treatment plans accurately within the medical record
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and ongoing care
• Utilize prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Support continuity of care and discharge planning efforts
