About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Hematology/Oncology for a 13-week travel assignment. The NP will provide advanced, evidence-based care in collaboration with physicians in an acute care oncology setting.
Requirements
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) License
- Specialty certification aligned with practice area
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
- Medicare NP number (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Strong clinical judgment and independent practice ability
- Ability to work in an acute care hospital environment
Nice To Haves
- Prior Hematology/Oncology experience strongly preferred
- Inpatient or acute care hospital experience
- Strong communication and patient management skills
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for hematology and oncology patients
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Document detailed SOAP notes and clinical records
- Prescribe medications per state regulations and collaborative agreements
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment and disease management
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient oncology environment
- Collaborate closely with attending physicians and care teams
