Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Riverside Peninsula Cancer Institute in Newport News, Virginia. Riverside Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Riverside Cancer Care team in Newport News, VA. Requirements
- Master’s in Nursing
- current NP license
- board certification (FNP & PMHNP)
- Eligible for Virginia state medical licensure
- Valid DEA registration
- Basic computer and EMR proficiency
- A compassionate, team-oriented mindset
Nice To Haves
- Experience in oncology or pulmonology preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and health assessments
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop and manage personalized care plans
- Perform pulmonology consultations
- Counsel patients and families on treatment options and care plans
- Prescribe and evaluate treatments and medications
- Document clinical findings accurately in the EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cancer care experts
