Family Nurse Practitioner for Riverside Mental Health and Recovery Center - Riverside Medical Group - Hampton, Virginia
About The Position
Riverside Health Medical Group is seeking a dedicated full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center in Hampton, Virginia. This full-time role consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with no on-call responsibilities. The provider will focus on completing medical H&Ps within 24 hours of the patients’ admission to RMHRC. In addition, the Family Nurse Practitioner will assist with any medical consults that come up within the psychiatric unit. Requirements
- Current Family Nurse Practitioner license, and board certification (FNP)
- Eligible for Virginia state medical licensure
- Valid DEA registration
- Independent clinical decision-making
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating common psychiatric and medical conditions
- Familiarity with managed care and Medicare populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance

- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Complete medical H&Ps within 24 hours of the patients’ admission to RMHRC.
- Assist with any medical consults that come up within the psychiatric unit.
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychiatric assessments.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide patient education and counseling.
- Prescribe and evaluate treatments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
