About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner for the Vascular Neurology/Stroke Program works alongside physicians to provide advanced primary and specialty nursing services. The role includes consultations, examinations, screening, diagnosis and treatment, medication provision, and ongoing care for patients. The Nurse Practitioner also supports patients and families with after-care information and resources and maintains accurate patient records. The position is associated with Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or a related area.
• Current state Nurse Practitioner license.

• Five or more years of experience in Nursing or a relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Provide new-patient consultations and review health histories.
• Perform physical examinations and patient screenings.
• Provide after-care and ongoing-care information and resources to patients and families.
• Maintain patient records, including test results, immunizations, and changes in condition.
• Deliver quality, physician-level care while complying with company policies, safety regulations, and productivity metrics.
• Recommend further treatment options or follow-up appointments when required.
• Diagnose health problems and provide medications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
