About The Position

This is an ongoing per diem role for a Nurse Practitioner to conduct disability evaluation exams for veterans. The exams are one-time evaluations, not ongoing care, and do not involve treatment, prescribing, or managing patients afterward. Exams are booked during business hours, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Candidates must live within daily commute range of Juneau, AK, and are required to have their own brick-and-mortar office within 50 miles of Juneau, AK, as no clinic space is provided. Veterans will come to the NP's office for their exams.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state where you will work
• Board certification
• NPI number
• Current ACLS and BLS
• Active DEA
• Your own office within 50 miles of Juneau, AK
• CV in month and year format

Responsibilities

• Examine veterans and record findings on standard disability evaluation forms.
• Conduct one-time evaluations, not ongoing care.
• Do not treat, prescribe, or manage patients afterward.
