About The Position
St. Mary’s Physician Care, affiliated with St. Mary’s Medical Center, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for its Hospitalist Group. The Nurse Practitioner provides general care to patients of all ages with patience, care, compassion, and understanding. The role is full-time, works nights on a 7-on/7-off schedule with 12-hour shifts, and involves an open ICU and approximately 18–20 patients per shift. The Nurse Practitioner assists physicians with rounding and admissions and works under a Collaborative Practice Agreement.
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with specialization as an ARNP.
- Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
- BLS certification upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
- At least two years of experience working in an inpatient hospitalist setting.
- Previous experience with an electronic health record.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide general care to patients of all ages.
- Perform tasks within the scope of practice, which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians, promoting public awareness of health, and prescribing medications.
