About The Position

Meritus Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide timely, compassionate care at its Valley Mall urgent care location. You will treat patients of all ages with everyday illnesses and minor injuries in a setting designed to make care accessible when patients need it. This position involves caring for both adults and children, evaluating a wide range of urgent care concerns, from earaches and sore throats to sprains and strains. You will work alongside an established urgent care team and serve patients at a convenient location open seven days a week, including evenings.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current or eligible Maryland Nurse Practitioner licensure
• National board certification

Nice To Haves

• Experience caring for patients across the lifespan
• Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with non-emergency illnesses and injuries, including rashes, respiratory symptoms, minor musculoskeletal injuries, and mild-to-moderate asthma.
• Obtain histories, perform examinations, order and interpret appropriate tests, develop treatment plans, provide patient education, and determine when a higher level of care is needed.
