•$130,000 - $175,000•Onsite

About The Position

NYNJ Psychiatric Associates is a group practice providing psychiatric services in assisted living and long-term care facilities throughout New York and New Jersey. The team includes 35 nurse practitioners supported by two psychiatrists. Experienced clinicians may work with relative autonomy when comfortable with the patients and geriatric psychopharmacology. New employees and graduates receive clinical support, rounding, and collaboration with senior clinical staff, including direct access to the doctors for case advice. The role focuses on psychiatric medication management and supportive psychotherapy. The nurse practitioner completes initial evaluations and follow-up visits onsite at assigned facilities, treating conditions such as depression, anxiety, cognitive disorders, and dementia with behavioral issues. The position includes clinical and administrative support, streamlined documentation, real-time administrative assistance, and technology intended to make workflows efficient. The nurse practitioner works as part of a team alongside primary care physicians, other nurse practitioners and physician assistants, psychology, nursing, and families. The position is described as relatively low stress compared with some behavioral health roles, with some flexibility in hours. Formal call is not expected beyond reasonable availability to team members for clinical questions. At present, there is no on-call rounding or overnight phone calls, though this may change. Full-time opportunities are listed at $130,000–$175,000, including bonus potential; part-time opportunities are paid per patient, with an expected rate of $115–$120 per hour for efficient clinicians.
