Responsible for working alongside physicians and facilitating advanced primary and specialty nursing services. Provides general and preventative care for children and adults, perform check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medication. At Atlantic Behavioral Health, we know behavioral health plays a significant role in the healing process – not just for patients dealing with mental health disorders or substance abuse, but also for those recovering from injuries, surgeries, diseases, and other conditions. We help them cope with the stress and emotional challenges caused by such physical ailments. Our behavioral health team features highly trained psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and licensed clinicians. We provide a variety of mental health services on an inpatient and outpatient basis, including intensive outpatient programs.
Requirements
- Responsible for working alongside physicians and facilitating advanced primary and specialty nursing services.
- Provides general and preventative care for children and adults, perform check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medication.
Responsibilities
- Provides new patient consultation and reviews health history.
- Performs physical examinations and screening on the patients.
- Provides after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families.
- Ensures patient records are maintained including test results, immunizations, condition changes.
- Delivers quality, physician-level care while complying with company policies, safety regulations, and productivity metrics.
- Recommends further treatment options or future appointments if required.
- Performs diagnoses health problems and provides medications.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
