About The Position

West Coast Wound & Skin Care is a full-service mobile wound care company providing treatment to patients in their homes and skilled nursing facilities. The company is seeking Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to provide advanced wound care in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Clinicians travel locally within their designated territory to see patients; this is not a remote position. Candidates must live in Charleston, SC, hold an active South Carolina NP or PA license, and be willing and able to drive to patient homes. No experience is required. The company provides extensive training, 24/7 support, and competitive compensation. The role is offered as full-time, part-time, or 1099.

Requirements

Current South Carolina license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
CPR certification.
Effective communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and at least the state-required liability auto insurance.
Willingness and ability to travel locally to patient homes in the Charleston area.
Must live in Charleston, South Carolina.
No prior experience is required.

Responsibilities

Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to best treat patients.
Perform wound care procedures as appropriate for the plan of care.
Define and document patient diagnoses.
Ensure patients are satisfied with their care.
Provide patient education and management.
Safely debride wounds using various methods during patient visits.
Apply topical wound care and other wound management products.
Document findings and treatment course in patient charts, including follow-up notes.
