About The Position

West Coast Wound & Skin Care is a mobile wound care company providing services to patients in their homes and skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). The company seeks Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to deliver advanced wound care in the San Bernardino, California area. Candidates must live in San Bernardino and be willing and able to travel locally to patient homes. This is not a remote position. No experience is required; extensive training and 24/7 support are provided. The posting lists full-time, part-time, and contract 1099 job types.

Requirements

Current California state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
CPR certification.
Effective communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and at least the minimum state-required liability auto insurance.
Ability and willingness to travel locally to patient homes in the San Bernardino area.

Responsibilities

Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to best treat patients.
Perform wound care procedures as appropriate for the plan of care.
Define and document patient diagnoses.
Ensure patients are satisfied with their care.
Provide patient education and management.
Safely debride wounds by various methods during patient visits.
Apply topical wound care and other wound management products.
Record findings and the treatment course in patient charts, including follow-up notes.
