Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Mt. Pleasant, TX
About The Position
HealthCARE Express is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Mt. Pleasant urgent care team. The provider will care for patients of all ages with a variety of illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role includes evaluating patients, performing examinations and minor procedures, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, creating treatment plans, and prescribing medications when appropriate. Providers also help lead and support clinic teams by communicating effectively, leading by example, and fostering a positive, collaborative environment. The organization emphasizes taking initiative and supporting teammates to keep the clinic running smoothly while maintaining high standards of patient care. The position is full-time, with 12-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM and rotating Saturday shifts from 8 AM to 4 PM. New hires may be required to attend a four-day onboarding training session in Texarkana, Texas.
Requirements
- Be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, making clinical decisions, and helping guide a team while maintaining a compassionate, patient-first approach.
Nice To Haves
- At least two years of experience in urgent care, family practice, or emergency medicine is preferred but not required.
