About The Position

UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This full-time position in Worcester, MA, offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The role involves providing comprehensive care to critically ill and premature neonates in a high-acuity NICU setting. Responsibilities include performing newborn assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management of neonatal conditions, as well as developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with neonatologists and the care team. Patients managed will have conditions such as respiratory distress, prematurity complications, infections, and congenital anomalies.

Requirements

  • A Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Eligible or current Massachusetts license, with national certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, as applicable)
  • Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA Controlled Substance Registration are required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to critically ill and premature neonates in a high-acuity NICU
  • Perform newborn assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management of neonatal conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with neonatologists and the care team
  • Manage patients with conditions such as respiratory distress, prematurity complications, infections, and congenital anomalies
