About The Position

UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This full-time position in Worcester, MA, offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The role involves providing comprehensive care to critically ill and premature neonates, performing newborn assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management of neonatal conditions. The APP will develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with neonatologists and the care team, managing patients with various complex conditions.

Requirements

  • A Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Eligible or current Massachusetts license
  • National certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, as applicable)
  • Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration
  • Federal DEA Controlled Substance Registration

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to critically ill and premature neonates in a high-acuity NICU
  • Perform newborn assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management of neonatal conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with neonatologists and the care team
  • Manage patients with conditions such as respiratory distress, prematurity complications, infections, and congenital anomalies
