Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Cardiac Step-Down Unit - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center
About The Position
The Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join the team on the 12-bed Cardiac Step-Down Unit. The APP will work collaboratively with physicians, fellow APPs, and the multidisciplinary care team to assess, manage, and coordinate care for acutely ill cardiac patients. Responsibilities include direct involvement in medical consultation, patient assessments, procedures, and care planning. The APP will specialize in the management of complex cardiac conditions, recommend diagnostic testing, and initiate appropriate treatment strategies in collaboration with the attending team. Ideal candidates will have procedural experience, including central and arterial line placement, and a background in critical care or step-down environments. Point-of-care ultrasound experience is preferred. This is a full-time role with 12-hour shifts, nights only, no call, and one weekend per month required.
