About The Position
MercyOne Northeast Iowa is actively recruiting a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Breast Center in Waterloo, Iowa. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a specialty-focused, multidisciplinary environment supporting patients across the full continuum of breast health. This role is ideal for APPs interested in oncology, surgery, or women’s health, offering a 100% outpatient Breast Center practice with a Monday-Friday schedule and minimal to no call responsibilities. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary care team including breast surgeons, radiology, oncology, and nurse navigators, managing patients from screening through survivorship. A strong onboarding and mentorship program is in place, making it new grad friendly with relevant clinical exposure.
Requirements
- NP (FNP or AGNP) or PA-C certification
- Eligible for Iowa licensure
- Interest or experience in Breast Health
- Interest or experience in Women’s Health
- Interest or experience in Oncology or Surgery
- New graduates welcome with relevant clinical exposure
Responsibilities
- Conduct new patient visits, follow-ups, and high-risk breast assessments
- Review and communicate mammography, imaging, and biopsy results
- Provide education and counseling on breast conditions and treatment options
- Coordinate care with imaging, surgery, oncology, and genetics
- Support pre/post-procedure care and survivorship planning
