About The Position

Prisma Health Urgent Care is hiring patient-oriented Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide high-quality care to adults and children, in cooperation with center physicians. Providers are expected to put patients’ needs first, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Full-time schedules are 30 or 36 hours per week; part-time schedules are 24 hours per week. Full-time providers may work a flexible three-day, 12-hour schedule from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. No overnight shifts are required. Full-time benefits begin at 30 hours per week. PRN/per-diem opportunities are not available, and new graduates are not being hired.

The position reports to the Regional Vice President of Clinical Operations and/or the Area Clinical Operations Director. A limited-time sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 may be available to eligible hires, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

Requirements

• Current, valid South Carolina license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification; the employer will provide it if needed.
• Meet WellStreet Urgent Care credentialing eligibility requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other employees.
• Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults.
• Positive, energetic attitude; service and team orientation; and willingness to contribute to building and maintaining the organization.
• Willingness to go the extra mile for customers and work in an upbeat, supportive atmosphere.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high-quality medical care for adult and pediatric patients, with appropriate resource management and in cooperation with center physicians.
• Deliver the highest standard of patient satisfaction and adhere to Prisma Health Urgent Care service and courtesy standards.
• Provide patient care in accordance with Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations, and Prisma Health Urgent Care policies and procedures.
• Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff.
• Provide authenticated reports of services rendered and maintain accurate, complete records.
• Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication that facilitates patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
• Participate in meetings and activities required to support urgent care operations.
• Participate in professional development activities and maintain required certifications and specialty training.
• Help train and lead the center team in creating an outstanding customer experience.
