NP/PA - Internal Medicine - Bismarck, ND
About The Position
Essentia Health's Internal Medicine team is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Gateway location in Bismarck, ND. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position with a Monday-Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, focusing on 36 patient contact hours per week. The role is 100% clinical, with phone call coverage currently on a 1:6 rotation among Internal Medicine and Eldercare teams. The provider will see approximately 16 patients per day and will not be required to perform procedures unless desired. The position emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention, caring for patients from young adult to elderly. The provider will work within a care team model alongside MDs, Nurses, and ancillary staff in a busy and growing practice.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited program/institution OR Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
- Current certification in CPR.
- National certification, in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
