About The Position

UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join its team in the greater Pittsburgh area and at locations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. In partnership with UPMC Health System, the organization operates urgent care centers across the region and aims to provide effortless, personal, and connected experiences for patients, communities, and team members.

Clinicians provide care for a wide variety of concerns and clinical complexity, using shared decision-making and problem-solving. Centers use an integrated EPIC EMR, point-of-care testing, and on-site X-ray. Each clinician works with an on-site Radiologic Technologist and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader, and may share experience and training with clinicians and staff. Team members are assigned a primary home center and nearby secondary centers. Scheduling flexibility is available for vacations and wellness days, with Monday-through-Friday scheduling flexibility; weekend shifts and limited on-call availability are required. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time hires.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of full-time Emergency Medicine experience, or 2 years of Urgent Care experience; 2 years of Family Medicine experience will also be considered.
• Comfort with minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints.
• Ability to provide preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
• Experience treating patients of all ages in an acute care setting.
• Physician Assistants must have a master’s degree and NCCPA certification.
• Nurse Practitioners must have a master’s degree and ANCC or AANP certification.

Responsibilities
