Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
About The Position
UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to provide urgent care services in the greater Pittsburgh area and other locations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of clinical concerns and opportunities for shared decision-making and problem-solving. Clinicians see patients at regular intervals using scheduling programs intended to support wellness, efficiency, and safe care. Centers are equipped with an integrated EPIC EMR, point-of-care testing, and on-site X-ray. The clinician collaborates with an on-site Radiologic Technologist and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader, and shares experience and training with clinicians and staff. Each team member is assigned a primary home center and nearby secondary centers. Scheduling flexibility is available to accommodate vacations and wellness days Monday through Friday; weekend shifts and limited on-call availability are required. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time hires.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of full-time Emergency Medicine experience, or 2 years of Urgent Care experience; 2 years of Family Medicine experience may be considered.
- Comfort with minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints.
- Ability to perform preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
- Experience treating patients of all ages in an acute care setting.
- Physician Assistants must have a master’s degree and NCCPA certification.
- Nurse Practitioners must have a master’s degree and ANCC or AANP certification.
Responsibilities
